How To Apply
"I liked that BTC was a small school; they help you from beginning to end, one-on-one, step-by-step. Just having one person help get me started eased my nerves. I didn’t have to run all over a big campus talking to tons of different people." -Jessica A.

Q&A
- How do transfer credits work?
-
After starting your application with us, if you have college credits from another school, you may request an official transcript be sent to us from that institution. Once we receive your BTC application and official transcripts from your previous institution, our registrar will evaluate your transcript and we will let you know which classes, if any, are eligible for transfer.Unfortunately, we cannot accept transfer credits for our core nursing classes; only general education classes will be evaluated. For transfer credit eligibility, please see our Student Catalog for a list of requirements.Ask A Question
- What entrance exams do I need to take?
-
If you are applying for one of the nursing programs, but are taking gen-ed classes before the program begins you will take the Wonderlic exam.
If you are applying for the LPN or RN program, you will take the Wonderlic exam and the TEAS exam.
If you are applying for the LPN to RN Bridge program, you will take the Wonderlic exam and the ATI LPN Comprehensive Predictor that asks nursing-related questions.
If you are applying for the Paramedic to RN Bridge program, you will take the Wonderlic exam and the TEAS exam.
If you are applying for the RN to BSN Completion program, you do not need to take an entrance exam.
If you are applying for the CMT program, you do not need to take an entrance exam.
Ask A Question - What is the deadline for your application period?
-
The first round deadline to apply for the 2023 Professional Nursing (RN) program is May 8, 2023. You can still apply for the program after then and have a chance at starting the program in the fall.
All other programs do not have a deadline to apply; however, the sooner you apply and complete the admissions checklist, the better your chances are at receiving a seat.
We fill our programs, excluding the RN program, in the order of applicants who become qualified for the program. During the qualification period, all of the items on the Admissions Checklist must be completed by the applicant, the college, and external agencies. Once the checklist is marked complete, the applicant’s file will be reviewed for qualification into their desired program. If the applicant qualifies, they will be accepted if seats are available, or added to the waitlist if all seats are taken. If the applicant does not qualify, admissions counseling is recommended for next steps.

Ask A Question - Besides the application, what all do I need to do to get into the program?
-
That depends on the program, so the best answer is to give us a call. In general, we will need copies of a few documents, two satisfactory background screenings, an entrance exam or two completed, and some medical records. Call us for the checklist though!
