Empowering Dreams: Bolivar Technical College Students Awarded Scholarships for Summer Semester 2023 

     The pursuit of education has the power to transform lives and empower individuals to reach their full potential. Bolivar Technical College (BTC) has always been committed to fostering academic excellence and supporting our students’ ambitions. As part of this commitment, BTC proudly awarded three prestigious scholarships to several deserving students for the summer semester of 2023 – the BTC Education Foundation Scholarship, 2023 BTC Alumni Scholarship, and CMH Employee Institutional Scholarship. 

     The BTC Education Foundation Scholarship is a symbol of the college’s belief in the power of education to uplift individuals and communities. Kasey Hightower of Fair Grove (Practical Nursing program) was awarded a $200 scholarship on June 26, 2023 for the Summer 2023 semester of her Practical Nursing (LPN) program. 

    The 2023 BTC Alumni Scholarship has been awarded to the following eight BTC RN Bridge students, in the amount of $500 each: Autumn Buttry of Bolivar, Jessalyn Cartwright of Willard, Lynzie Katska of Springfield, Jaclyn Kelly of Republic, Amie Lurten of Urbana, Amber Moller of Springfield, Alyssa Olonde of Bolivar, and Garrett Rudy of Springfield. 

    The CMH Employee Institutional Scholarship at Bolivar Technical College has been awarded to the following students, each in the amount of $100. Autumn Buttry of Bolivar is an LPN charge nurse at Parkview Healthcare. Autumn is enrolled in the RN Bridge program and anticipates to graduate in April of 2024. Alyssa Olonde of Bolivar is an LPN at the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Alyssa is enrolled in the RN Bridge program and anticipates to graduate in April of 2024. Christy Blankenship of Lebanon is an LPN Resident Care Coordinator at Colonial Springs. Christy is enrolled in the RN Bridge program and anticipates to graduate in April of 2024. 

    The scholarships awarded to Bolivar Technical College students for the summer semester of 2023 are emblematic of our commitment to fostering academic excellence and empowering our students!
