Introducing: Our newest class of RNs!

We are proud to announce our Professional Nursing (RN) Class of 2022!

     We had 32 students graduate with an Associates of Science Degree in Nursing on Saturday, May 7th, after completing our four semester RN program. Fifteen of these students were already Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) wanting to advance their career in the RN Bridge program. They started the RN Bridge program in May 2021 and completed one semester of transition classes before joining the RN program for the final two semesters.

Our focus is on our students and helping them become well-rounded nurses.

     The RN program curriculum includes Chemistry, Microbiology, Nursing Informatics, Pharmacology, Psychology, Medical Surgical, Mental Health, Maternal Child, Management and Leadership and more. Our RN students are also in the Skills and Simulation center almost weekly, practicing hands-on skills and scenarios to prepare them to work with real patients in their clinical rotations. For three semesters, they are visiting local healthcare facilities to gain experience working with patients in long-term health care facilities, medical-surgical facilities, mental health facilities and more. RN students spend around 585 hours in clinical facilities during their program and get a great idea of where they want to work after graduation during their rotations. In fact, nearly all of our grads have several job offers before they even receive their diploma! 

     We’ll miss these grads and are excited to see what their future holds! Several are applying for our online RN to BSN Completion program starting this fall, so we’ll get to continue cheering them on as they achieve their dreams and goals. For now, the graduates are preparing to take the national licensure exam, the NCLEX, and after state licensure, starting their careers as RNs. Mrs. Bailey, our RN Program Coordinator shared that this class has taken over 34,712 NCLEX style questions to prepare for their licensure exam!
